Floor Lamp by Serge Mouille
A dry and nervous shape, both animal and organic, half insect half tree, this object looks like a "tricephalous" stick insect, giant and mutant. Three legs that look like fingers, three arms that look like necks at the end of which, we find three heads that are eyes that are breasts.
Conceived in 1952, this unusual and singular looking object is the three armed Floor Lamp by Serge Mouille. From this spectacular looking lamp, this designer will develop for a decade a full collection of metal lamps that he named Black Shapes: organic shaped and mobile reflectors mounted on skinny stems.
