SACCO

Gatti, Paolini and Teodoro, the three who designed the SACCO, wished to elaborate flexible objects, able to answer any different situation, behavior or morphology.

The Sacco's bottom, this soft user-friendly pear-shaped armchair that hugs the body, is the alternative design answer to the formal codes of the '60's, as well as an answer to the ergonomic needs, the master word in those days.

Creating the Sacco was a long period of gestation, for the desired flexibility to be found in the correct material.   Luckily, Giulio Zanotta immediately had his company create the chair.
This object has been in the company catalog since 1968, to be sold worldwide.   Such longevity is seldom seen for so called « revolutionary » objects, yet this armchair has entered both our lifestyles and our minds.
